IDEOGRAM

A shield design can communicate stability, protection, longevity, tradition, solidity, toughness, boldness, and confidence. The American Public Gas Association Security & Integrity Foundation wanted a logo redesign that would communicate all of these attributes, which research indicates this message or these attributes are on target, these design approaches can convey the story of the brand in one iconic, succinct, self-contained badge with an air of classic authenticity.

TYPOGRAPHY

These fonts are usually thick and straight signifying authority and power. With this in mind New Media Bold was used to treat the full name of the organization and KHMER HN was used to spell out SIF. This ensures that the logo will be readable and easily identifiable across print and digital mediums.

COLOR

Blue is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn’t like to make a fuss or draw attention. From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Blue suggests precision. Blue is a masculine color; according to studies, it is highly accepted among males. Yellow signifies the mind and intellect. It is optimistic and cheerful.. The human eye processes yellow first. This explains why it is used for cautionary signs and emergency rescue vehicles, which is why it was used sparingly in the logo.
